Those three books about the scandinavian girl - tatoo - oh girl with the dragon tatoo - seem to be hot reads these days. Whistler. Maybe get some reservations up around Whistler for snow at Christmas - else a bit east into the mountains toward Banff - although Banff itself is terrible touristy and crowded. Won't be snow in Vancouver short of a miracle! Try to find a book about the history of British Columbia.
