It’s Moving Day!

Or rather, moving weekend because this weekend, Phill and I will pack our entire lives up (into two suitcases and a couple of backpacks) and move out of this apartment that we’ve been living in for the past two months, and into our new apartment.

Our new place isn’t that far away but we’ve decided to hire a car with our housemates, because they’ll be moving too and it’s just much easier than hiring a cab or taking the bus. We’ve lugged our stuff around Vancouver before (when we first got here) and it wasn’t fun! Plus, we’ve accumulated a lot more since then (mostly shoes…) and I have a feeling it’s going to take a few trips to get us all moved out. We’ve got this place until next Wednesday, so there’s no hurry, but we’re all too excited to wait any longer!

I have been incredibly slack with using my camera – I don’t think I’ve touched it since mid-October! Baaaaad, I know. This weekend, I will take some more photos to share – I can’t believe I haven’t been documenting the changes in nature around here. I wake up to an amazing view (and our new place has an even better view!) yet I am rushing out the door to work and don’t have the time to take a photo. I took a crappy snap of the mountains on my iPhone this morning but as I’m still on the 3G version (I know, I know… I can’t believe it either) it came out all grainy and fuzzy. Boo.

So I’m going to call this weekend officially both “Moving Weekend” AND “The Weekend During Which Time Kate Finally Gets Her Act Together And Gets Her Camera Out and Takes Some Damn Photos! Weekend”.

Sounds like it’s going to be a busy weekend!

Vancouver is beautiful! Get cracking!!!

Enjoy the move – you still travel nice and light! Most people have to rent a moving truck!!!

Rabbits’ Guy – Normally we’re the people who have to rent the truck! I think once we move into our own place, we’ll start stocking up on things. When it comes time to move back to Australia, I bet I’ll be complaining about the amount of “stuff” we have! :)
