In Two Days I Will Be High Above the Sky!
We are definitely in the home stretch now! Just got a few more loose ends to tie up and then we’re ready to board and I am super excited! We’ve been skyping with some friends of ours who are in China and London and that’s just making us even more excited! They are the same friends who will be eventually arriving in Vancouver with us and we’ll be living with two of them for the initial months leading up to Christmas.
Uh, yeah, isn’t that scary – CHRISTMAS is very soon! It’s SEPTEMBER already, which is when I start getting excited about Christmas because it’s one of the months that end in “ber” and you know that only happens around the end of the year! My birthday will be in Canada and so will Christmas – hopefully a white Christmas, which would be absolutely amazing for us Aussies whose closest thing to “snow” is a snow cone!
I can’t believe it’s less than two days to go!
P.S – I apologise if images haven’t been showing up in your RSS feed. We’ve recently added a new code to protect my photos from being hotlinked and in order for them to show up in your feed, we have to manually approve each feed reader site. I get an email whenever a site tries to access my images, so if it’s a reader site, we’ve been adding it straight away to the approved list, which fixes the problem, so images from subsequent posts will appear like normal in your feed. Sorry about that and it should all be fixed soon.

Try to find a book about the history of British Columbia. Those three books about the scandinavian girl – tatoo – oh girl with the dragon tatoo – seem to be hot reads these days.
Whistler. Maybe get some reservations up around Whistler for snow at Christmas – else a bit east into the mountains toward Banff – although Banff itself is terrible touristy and crowded. Won’t be snow in Vancouver short of a miracle!

Rabbits’ Guy – Oh I’ve seen that “girl with the dragon tattoo” around a lot and wondered what it was like – maybe I’ll pick that up too. I’m keen to visit Whistler and I’ve heard Banff is lovely (but touristy) so will have to suss those out. Thanks for the tips!

Just having a COLD winter makes such a difference. I remember feeling so weird the first time that happens in London – and last year we did get some light snow, which was cool. Very ‘story book’ Christmas, you know?
And I second TGWTDT. I’m on the second one now and loving it!
