The Post I Published Minus a Title

So apparently when you get a job after a while of being out of work, it really hits you hard physically and mentally.

In other words, I am absolutely and utterly buggered!

It’s not even been a week yet and already I’ve had sore legs, sore ankles, blisters, hunger pains (I actually missed lunch yesterday because I was so busy!) and I’ve been so tired I’ve come home after work and pretty much collapsed on the couch. But you know what? I’m enjoying it (as strange as that sounds). Yes, I’m busy and stressed out most of the day but I’m glad I’m working and earning and exercising my brain.

I’ve already warned Phill and my housemates if they wake me up early on Saturday, I will cause them severe bodily harm! I am looking forward to having a bit of a sleep-in and waking up sans alarm. Ooooh yeah!

Tomorrow is casual Friday, which means jeans (yay!). Speaking of random occasions/events that happen in office blocks (and therefore things I have never experienced and, as a result of this, I find them waaaaay exciting) I also experienced my first “birthday cake” moment – on my first day! It was someone’s birthday in the office and a couple of the Aussie girls had made an absolutely delicious cake. Actually, I was relieved it was someone’s birthday, because all I saw was a collegue walk up to my desk holding a very sharp knife (haha!).

Well, I think it is time for me to go cook dinner. Phill and my housemates have been very good with dinners because they’ve seen how tired I am and don’t want me cooking, but today I am feeling like it’s my turn, so I am going to make a lasagna (yum!). It will be my first time using lasagna sheets that actually require pre-cooking – weeeeird. We’ll see how it goes, I guess. I might even throw in some oven fries, since we’ve got a large bag of potatoes to use up. Mmmm, now I’m hungry. It’s time for dinner.

Hope everyone is having a great week!
