It’s Been Nearly A Month…

…since I last made a post here. Whoa. I’ve been a very bad blogger.

I’m going to be honest… I’m a little concerned that I may have lost my blogging mojo.

Right now I seem to be more interested in visiting and reading other blogs than in updating my own. I think the main reason is because of some very important things going on in my life right now – exciting (NO WE’RE NOT ENGAGED) and scary things (NO I’M NOT PREGNANT) – things I can’t discuss on here just yet. It’s kept my mind very busy, which means writing posts hasn’t been coming easily, especially when all I want to talk about is what’s happening, but it’s the one thing I can’t talk about. If that makes sense, argh.

Anyway, I’m not going to dwell on this – I guess I just wanted to explain my absense, just in case any of you had A) noticed my blog was a little quiet and B) wondered where I was.  Have any of you guys felt your blogging mojo wavering at some point? Tell me I’m not the only one!

——————————————-

Last weekend Phill and I went to a national park on Saturday because Phill had seen some photos of the amazing views and waterfalls and he wanted to take me to see it for ourselves. Initially he didn’t tell me where we were going, only telling me that I would need to wear closed-in shoes. I picked out a nice pair of shoes, but he placed my hiking shoes in front of me and I realised we’d be doing some exercise.

We arrived at the park and chose a 4km circuit which boasted beautiful views and a couple waterfalls, one of which you could walk under! The walk was fine – we both worked up a bit of a sweat on the upward bits, but it was nothing too strenouous. The circuit took us about an hour and a half to complete, which we were pretty impressed with. I took some photos of the waterfalls – some of which feature a colourful rainbow through the water!

Isn’t the scenery beautiful and the waterfalls magnificent? I always find myself amazed by waterfalls, especially the two we saw on Saturday because they just seem to start from nowhere! I love the contrast between the hard, grey rocks, the bright blue sky and the rushing white water and it was great fun to walk underneath the bigger one. We got a little wet but it was actually very refreshing since we were both a bit hot and sweaty.

It was a really nice morning and I enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city and our lives, to the serenity of nature. Have you noticed nature even has a smell? It’s beautifully natural and grassy and moist, and you can truly only experience it away from the city and away from the pollution and stress.

I think it’s great to just escape from it all every once in a while, don’t you agree?

It’s funny how you wrote that you weren’t pregnant or engaged in capital letters! I totalllyyyy get where you’re coming from. I wrote on Facebook the other day that I got some exciting news and I had a flood of comments asking whether I’m pregnant! nsdfjaskdgkfgn

Anyway, the waterfall looks stunning and I was wondering where it is. I haven’t been on a bushwalk for months now. Been so busy! I agree with you. It’s great to escape from it all. Glad to see you’re taking time to relax. :)

That’s ok! Everyone needs a break every once in a while. And now that we’ve seen the pictures, we can see that that view is much more enticing than a computer screen! :)

Those photos are GORGEOUS! I need to get out more, clearly.

Yes, I get the bloggers block once in a while…especially when you wanna blog about something you’re not supposed to blog about…which means, finding something else to blog about can be difficult…

But hopefully, you wont keep us in suspense for too long!

And wow…A-M-A-ZING photos!!!

Thanks for stopping by the Boyz blog! Funny how one appreciates the opposite, we live in the country right outside of a very large park and lake. I, on the other hand, love to visit NYC, the greatest city in the world! =^Y^=Holly

I lost mine for a while.. but thankfully it’s back – for now at least! I think the blog move was a nice kick up the you-know-what. :)

Can’t wait to hear about your exciting news? x

Salihan – Yup, when you’ve been together for as long as Phill and I have, you get those annoying questions and assumptions relating to marriage and/or babies. Tha’ts life! :P

Lorraine – I was so glad we went, it was so beautiful!

Lulu – It is exciting, but unfortunately I won’t be able to share it for quite some time, damn! But it will eventually come out, I promise! :D

Kelly – Thanks for thinking of me! Hope you nail course is going well – it makes me feel guilty when I look at my own boring nails, thinking about all the fun stuff you’re doing with yours!

Ling Tung – Thanks for your comment. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I can share the news! :)

Jen – It was so close, only an hour away, yet felt like a completely different world. It’s easy to forget these places still exist.

the Cat Street Boyz – Oooh I’d love to visit NYC too! I love cities, but I think a balance is the best, between the hustle bustle, and the great outdoors.

Aly – I’ve noticed you’ve been blogging more and that’s great – yours is always one of the first blogs I check! :)

We used to have a work technique for dealing with knotty issues … you all sit around the outside of a big square or rectangle and the issue is stated. Then, whoever wants to work on it goes into the square and those folks talk about it, argue, try things out, etc. The rest watch from “the sidelines”. Now and then one on the sidelines get’s the muse and “jumps in” to contribute. Now and then some hop out to take a break and just observe and think. Soound familiar? Works pretty good. Besides, some of us have followed your blogging for quite some time and know how you operate – blog-wise. You have had lots of big life-changing events and shared them all (or lots) in your own way when ready! Life is not easy.

Waterfalls always give me something to think about .. I was up this past weekend with some folks by a little pretty waterfall. I took pictures. But, right now that waterfall is still doing exactly what it was when I was there – and will be for some time! It is not just there when we are!

i hope you got your blogging mojo back! because let’s face it, the photos of those waterfalls are amazing!! if i could witness something as beautiful as that in person, i’d be a happy happy camper!

Rabbits Guy – The square sounds very familiar and it’s a great idea to get things out! We’re hoping to go back and visit the waterfalls again – and do the 6k walk instead of the 4k!

Krissy – I took so many photos trying to get that beautiful rainbow in the water, hoping it would come out in the photos the way it came out in reality. I’m so glad you like them, I was very happy with the end result! :)
