My husband drove a big, fat Dodge Ram at the time and he took up so much room that I over-compensated when in reverse. It sucked. As if the initial bang wasn't bad enough, you've got to figure out how to get away without causing more damage - that must have been a bit stressful! I was seventeen and drove a teeny tiny little SMALL red car. It was a very small car. Tiny even. Then one day My sister and I drove with my dad's brand new van, which was large, at least twice as long as my little car, and prolly my car plus half wider. we went to the mall and I was searching for a spot to park. I tried to round a corner to go to the next isle to keep looking for a spot and all I heard was CRUNCH! I took the corner too narrow and smacked the passenger side of the van into a cement pillar! AND. I couldn't figure out how to move the van away from the cement pillar. I tried reversing and crunch!crunch!crunch. I tried going forward and CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH! It was horrible.
